  • Responsibilities

    Successful candidate will support the facility Management needs for Star Delta Detachment 1 building 24 at Schriever Garrison. Seeking a hands-on, multi-tasking, detail oriented individual to oversee facility responsibilities, projects and planning duties. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

     

    • Troubleshoot, schedule and coordinate with Government entities for larger building maintenance and projects. Examples include plumbing work, electrical work, structural repairs/enhancements, construction, repair, remodeling (to include building and accrediting Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities), coordinate maintenance, landscaping, cleaning and other required projects.
    • Work closely with vendors and maintenance technicians to facilitate repairs and maintenance to building equipment to include uninterruptable power supply equipment, back-up generators, HVAC and building electrical systems.
    • Coordinate with and obtain approval from budget personnel to obtain funding for projects and equipment needed to perform tasks as outlined. Escort outside vendors, janitorial services and/or repair personnel complete coordinated tasks.
    • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Facility Management reviews and evaluation of projects to responsible agencies and leadership personnel. Inspect incoming materials, investigate complaints, orient tenants, and coordinate regulatory activity during renovation projects.
    • This position is a Full-Time position located at Schriever Garrison Colorado Springs CO and may require very limited to no travel outside of the Local Area.

    Facilities Manager Qualifications / Skills:

    • Active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position.
    • Proactive communication skills - possible interactions with Staff and Department Leadership to facilitate completion of mission duties. 
    • Strong project management skills
    • Problem solving and Leadership – Able to work alone on projects as well as coordinate and report to leadership when required.
    • Professionalism
    • BA/BS, or technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Applicable work experience with building/facilities operations and maintenance.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects, tools or controls; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
