Because remarkable people achieve remarkable things. -Job Description -The Commercial Operator/ Natural Gas Scheduler is part of the Commercial North America Gas Operations Team responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Shell Energy Americas (SEAm) gas activities in the Northeast markets. The scheduler will provide scheduling and operations support to various business desks across North America. The primary purpose is to carryout daily natural gas scheduling and operational duties for SEAm which includes but is not limited to the following accountabilities: -Coordinate the daily product movement for SEAm and agency customers including equity gas production, purchases, sales, transportation, storage on both interstate and intrastate pipelines via electronic bulletin boards while ensuring contract obligations and regulatory requirements are met. -Report physical pipeline positions to SEAm trading groups. -Schedule accurate nominations meeting all deadlines throughout the day. -Optimization of transport and delivery requirements to monetize value for the trade desk through accurate timely nominations (1-shot noms), segmentation and meter bounces. -Monitor and report pipeline operational information providing short term opportunities to trading due to pipeline constraints and operations. -Schedule energy retailer customers from various upstream and downstream receipt and delivery meters. -Strict compliance with FERC Shipper Must Hold Title, Dodd Frank Bookout requirements and understanding of the buy/sell capacity release rules. -Maintains a thorough understanding of all contractual, license and regulatory requirements. -Know and understand of the various balancing mechanisms in use across North America regarding imbalance tolerances and the financial cash out risks for shippers and traders. -Understand how a pipeline calculates and uses cash out indices. -Knowledge in a pipelines tariff general terms and conditions. -Input operational information daily into SEAm internal gas management system (Endur) for accurate P&L and a clean hand off at month end . -Highly proficient in the knowledge and use of SEAm internal gas management system to troubleshoot issues from deal entry to invoicing. -Train and Provide back up support to other schedulers within own team and across NA teams. -Perform monthly close activities on top 10 pipelines to ensure timely and accurate reporting. -Focal Point for elevated issue resolution in absence of supervisor. -Build and Maintain Monthly dashboard for Operations using the knowledge of SQL, SQL Server, SSIS and Spotfire. -Update Monthly, Quarterly leadership presentation decks with highlights, metrics for post deal execution to cash activities. -Create queries to pull data from Endur for adhoc data needs of Operations leadership; Maintain existing Spotfire reports for Operations metrics. -Create and maintain Robotic process automation scripts for settlements and volume actualization processes. -Assist with minor Salesforce tasks. -Requirements -Minimum of three (3+) year's of Information Technology experience. -Bachelors degree required. -Natural gas scheduling experience preferred. -Must have SQL knowledge and be able to code. -Strong Excel skills able to use V lookup and Pivot Tables. -Commercial mindset and ability to work effectively with trade desk in operational decisions. -Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet strict time sensitive deadlines. -Ability to adapt quickly to changing internal and external requirements.This position requires weekend and holiday work on a rotating basis as well as on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. *LI-MA -No. of Positions -1 -Disclaimer -Please note: We occasionally amend or withdraw Shell jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to the advertised closing date.
