    As an ELECTRICIAN, you are an essential worker on our San Ardo team and for California. You will perform operational and maintenance electrical and instrumentation activities on equipment up to 600 volt, applying NEC, NFPA 70E codes and regulations to daily work activities. 

    You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities that support Aera’s equipment reliability strategy. While no day is the same, some of your job duties include diagnosing, troubleshooting, calibrating, monitoring, maintaining, repairing:

    • Control systems;
    • Producing control stations and facilities;
    • PLC/HMI, communications systems, pneumatic and electronic instrumentation;
    • Large horsepower motors;
    • 480v power circuits; and
    • Automated equipment control systems (i.e. air compressors, I/P's, pneumatic control valves, etc.)

          

    WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

    • $45.20 per hour pay, with annual increases per the bargaining agreement.
    • 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), Daylight shift.
    • Full time, company position with potential for overtime and call-outs.
    • Annual bonus potential up to 15% based on individual and company performance.

    • Estimated Total Compensation (Total Cash + Benefits) that exceeds $146,000 per year.

    Required Skills

    As a successful employee you would:

    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation systems.
    • Exhibit an in-depth understanding of PLC logic, communications and control equipment.
    • Show fluency in the use of technology as tools (i.e. SAP, Outlook, Excel, Word and other business platforms).
    • Understand and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis.
    • Leverage continuous improvement to increase productivity and efficiency.
    • Utilize best practices to drive standardization across teams, effective work prioritization and agility.
    • Communicate constructively at various levels of the organization.
    • Support a team-based environment recognizing that inclusivity fosters innovation and creativity.

     

    Required Experience

    We are looking for a state-certified journeyman electrician with at least four-years’ experience in electrical construction and/or maintenance.  Aera would be honored to consider military personnel with similar experience and training.  If a military candidate is selected, Aera will initiate a journeyman level equivalency exam in lieu of the state certification.
