At Cedar, our counselors roles are two-fold: on the one hand, you're a bunk counselor, serving as the primary caretaker for a group of boys (ages 8-15) for the summer.
You live amongst the boys (typically 12-15 in a bunk) in addition to 3 other co-counselors. In addition, you are an activity counselor, sharing your knowledge and expertise with the children through a series of instructional periods throughout the summer. The boys get broken up in small groups and learn/practice everything from basketball to sailing to archery and movie-making.
We are a large camp with over 100 staff from all over the world. Join us among the beautiful pines, on a cold lake, under a blue sky this summer!
We are looking for fun, young, energetic students who want to impact children's lives while having fun and making money this summer! Currently hiring for a number of different positions.
Experience working with children preferred but not required. Looking for counselors who have skillsets in many sports such as basketball, football, tennis, soccer, baseball; water sports such as water skiing, sailing, fishing; arts and crafts, nursing, and others.
For 65 years, Camp Cedar has provided boys with the perfect Maine camping experience. Located in Casco, ME, Cedar combines a top notch athletic program with the nature and tripping opportunities that come with being nestled between the Maine Coast and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
At Cedar, we strive to find a balance between fun and practice, what’s a game and what’s competition, the meaning of being a bunk mate, a teammate, a member of a camp family, and ultimately, of being a part of something much bigger than oneself. We believe that the Cedar experience helps our boys develop character, lifelong relationships and create a foundation for each camper’s own life journey. With a history of community service and a value system that stresses the importance of giving back, Camp Cedar is more than just a premier sports camp for boys - it’s a sports camp with soul.
