Spend a summer in the beautiful Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia making new friends and making a positive impact, while leading horseback lessons and trail rides for beginner to advanced riders! We are looking for individuals with a spirit for adventure and desire to share your passion and respect for horses with children in our ACA accredited riding program. Lead, learn, and live this summer at Camp Hidden Meadows!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and instruct daily riding lessons to beginner-to-experienced campers 9-16 years old.
• Help maintain and organize the barn, tack room, pastures and riding arenas.
• Directly supervise and live with a group of 8-14 campers.
• Lead a variety of summer camp activities including morning and afternoon workshops, cabin activities, large group activities, and evening programs.
• Providing a positive role model and excellent leadership for youth.

• Knowledge of good horsemanship principles and practices (on the ground and mounted).
• Previous camp, youth group, after school, or other youth leadership program experience desired but not required.
• Positive attitude, a spirit of adventure and a desire to impact each camper in a positive way. Sincerity, enthusiasm, sound judgment, constructive communication skills, and a good sense of humor are all things that we value in staff.

Salary/Benefits:

Competitive salary. Housing, meals, internet access and laundry provided. Time off in wild and wonderful West Virginia with great climbing and other outdoor adventures close by! We are confident that our staff will gain at least as much as they give this summer. Adventure/Wilderness Summer Camp. Fantastic location in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Program for ages 7-16, focused on offering meaningful and exciting experiences where individual goals and interests can be pursued and close friendships formed. Located in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, our 250-acre camp is surrounded by the Monongahela National Forest and near Seneca Rocks. Activities include horseback riding, organic farming, sailing, mountain boarding, rock climbing, backpacking, rappelling, whitewater rafting, arts program, high ropes course, 1000-ft zipline! mountain biking, wilderness/rustic camping, kayaking, canoeing, performing arts, and caving.
