  • Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    • Supports Continuous Improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (experience with DMAIC, Design of Experiments, Statistical Analysis strongly preferred)
    • Follows sampling procedures and may help design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
    • Evaluates analytical testing, equipment, facilities, precision measurements, accuracy measurements, and performance testing.
    • Aids in measuring, testing, and tabulating data concerning quality and reliability.
    • Recommends revisions and updates for standard operating procedures and work instructions as needed.
    • Develops quality control and inspection test plans as required.
    • Conducts testing and experimentation, reports on results, and documents findings.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Associate’s degree or equivalent education from College or University.
    • Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.  Deal with several abstract and concrete variables.       
    • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. Personal Computer and word processor skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
