    Responsibilities:

    The ISSO-System/Network Administrator will perform system design, hardware/software implementation and integration, and general infrastructure support.  Engineering, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and deploying Network infrastructures, including Firewall & IDS/IPS systems.  Identify and implement a high availability architecture for infrastructure processes that are identified to have single points of failure.  Responsible for evaluation, acquisition, installation, and support of classified and unclassified DoD local area networks and/or wide area networks. 

     

    Oversee, evaluate, and support the documentation, verification & validation, and authorization processes necessary to assure that government systems meet the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity standards and requirements for DoD systems.  Ensure compliance to governing documents and security policies and assist in regulatory periodic assessments.  Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for secure implementation and compliance in accordance with government regulations and information assurance/cybersecurity guidelines.

     

    Responsible for tracking and reporting RMF compliance status, conduct continuous monitoring of the system security, work with teams to analyze cyber security requirements, conduct vulnerability scans using ACAS and SCAP, push patches and updates, and mitigate vulnerabilities.

     

    Provide cyber security expertise for engineering, configuration control, and status meetings.  Evaluate the architecture and provide guidance on secure hardware and software configurations.  Ensure systems meet RMF policies and procedures.  Use eMASS in support of RMF process, maintain required artifacts in support of RMF specific to each project, provide inputs for monthly reports, and coordinate with cyber security team as required to maintain Interim Authority to Test (IATTs) or Authority to Operate (ATOs)

    Required Skills

    • US Citizenship with an active secret clearance
    • Must meet DoD 8570.01-M minimum of IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+ CE)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Network Engineering or closely related discipline
    • Familiar with standard network and communication concepts, practices, and procedures in a high performance computing center.
    • Configuration and deployment experience with Windows 10, Windows Servers, Linux, Ubuntu, and RHEL experience is a plus.
    • Must possess a strong knowledge of the RMF process and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security controls

    Required Experience

    • Experience configuring and installing switches, routers, firewalls for open and closed networks

    • Experience with various application servers, including Web Servers, and network support (such as DNS, DHCP, AD, GPO, Exchange, etc.) servers.

    • Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools

    • Strong hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting experience.

    • Relevant experience in Cyber Security/Information Assurance fields

    • Must have Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) experience
