Performs wide range of Ultrasound procedures on patients of varying ages, completes all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in Department for procedures. Assists in the development and the monitoring of department specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Diagnostic Imaging Services.

Required Experience

WORK EXPERIENCE:

One-year experience performing a wide variety of Ultrasound procedures under supervision of physician or registered Sonographer preferred.

LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

1. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography (S) / Vascular Sonography (VS) registered preferred or registry eligible, ARDMS is the preferred credentialing agency for registration. New graduates must complete registry within 6 months of hire date.
2. All Sonographers must be certified at required program level at time of the respective department inspection by the American College of Radiology (ACR) or at onset of accreditation renewal. Exception to this will be recent graduates.
3. CPR Certified.
