    POSITION DETAILS

     

    Stewards Individual Placement Program (SIPP) provides individuals with service and career opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. Participants work with federal agencies, tribal governments, and nonprofits building institutional capacity, developing community relationships, and supporting ecosystem health. SIPP in partnership with the National Park Service (NPS) are seeking an intern who will engage with visitors of all ages from around the world as they learn about the site that commemorates the first successful power-driven airplane flight. At Wright Brothers National Memorial (WBNM) the intern will help connect other youth to the NPS and WBNM by representing and more effectively reaching younger audiences on site and through social media. The intern will interact with the general public by providing front-line services at the visitor center information desk, delivering interpretive audience-centered programs, developing original social media content, facilitating curriculum-based education programs, and assisting at special events. The incumbent will be provided training in 21st century, audience-centered interpretation and customer service best practices.

     

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Developing and presenting engaging, audience-centered, formal interpretive programs
    • Providing quality customer service to park visitors by operating park visitor center and performing informal interpretation
    • Creating original interpretive media content (social media, park website, etc.)
    • Facilitating curriculum-based education programs
    • Assisting at special events
    • Performing other collateral duties as assigned, based on need of park and interest/skills of intern

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Possession of a current valid driver's license
    • Possession of a valid Social Security Card
    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Must be a US Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident Alien of the United States
    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds

    • Creative, positive, professional and friendly
    • Experience working with the public
    • Public speaking skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Experience in social media

     

    BENEFITS:

    • Position is eligible for an AmeriCorps education award upon successful completion of the program. Value of education award is $1,612.43 (pre-tax).

  • Qualifications
    • Worked on at least 5-6 technical CRP implementations and led performance improvements on 2-3 implementations
    • Strong technical knowledge of Dynamics AX 12 R3 for Operations and customization
    • Solid understanding of Retail business; industry, organization, systems, challenges and objectives.
    • Craft the technical vision by mapping requirements to technical solutions, communicated through functional and technical design documents.
    • Present technical approach and solutions to business and IT stakeholders.
    • Articulate execution strategy through roadmaps, estimates and implementation plans.
    • Ensure quality through enforcement of best practices and project governance.
    • Design, scope, organize and deliver training events for both business and IT team members.
    • Provide basic technical support for project life cycle.
    • Participate on more than one project concurrently.
    • Understand performance bottlenecks in off-the-shelf and customized aspects and has extensively worked on improving overall performance of the implementation
