Preferred Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, related field or equivalent. a. Minimum of EC I & II, Associates Degree in Child Care and Development 2. Must be at least 21 years of age and complete a criminal background check. 3. A willingness to teach from the perspective of the Christian Faith 4. Possess oral, auditory and written communication skills for use with children, parents and co-workers. 5. Must have at least three years experience in a daycare or educational setting. Provide a safe healthy environment, being aware of the childrens physical condition and the condition of the equipment in the classroom. b. Education and Learning a. Provide multi-cultural, non-sexist materials and equipment for all children in your classroom. b. Be responsible for the learning environment of the classroom. c. Adjust the program to meet the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, disabilities, talents, individual style and pace of learning, cultural, religious and socio- economic background. e. Treat children with dignity and respect; build positive self-esteem. f. Help children become aware of their roles as integral members of a group. g. Interact with the children at eye level; get down on the floor, run, jump, lift children. h. Participate in outdoor playground activities, field trips and daily walks. i. Be available for parent conferences as needed or as requested c. Communication/Personnel a. Plan, supervise and implement a quality program in accordance with the policies and mission statement of the Carpenters Shop Christian Daycare and the State Licensing Regulations. b. Conduct self in a professional manner. c. Demonstrate appropriate decision making abilities. d. Maintain confidentiality e. Participate in continuing education as required by the State Licensing Regulations. f. Promote partnership with families; communicate regularly to build mutual understanding and greater consistency for children by informing families about activities at the center. g. Provide attendance records; sign in and out sheets and lesson plans on a weekly basis. h. Be familiar with child abuse/neglect laws and the proper reporting procedures. i.
