    Spring 2019 - Public Relations & Entertainment Marketing Intern Location: New York, NY Employment Type: Internship Description The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) works in 190 countries and territories to put children first. Public Relations & Entertainment Marketing Intern UNICEF USA seeks an intern for its Public Relations and Entertainment Marketing Intern to learn the essentials of public relations and elements of public relations materials and gain experience working closely with UNICEF Ambassadors, Supporters, and the entertainment industry at large. He/she will complete their internship with an understanding of issues, events, corporate and not for profit communications. Key Responsibilities/Projects: Take part in written materials including pitching, press releases, FAQs, briefs, and talking points Contribute to calendar listings, media alerts, and press releases Learn the UNICEF USA media database and monitoring services used by PR firms Media monitoring and reporting Assist in organizing special events and projects relating to education, advocacy, and fundraising Contributing to other projects as necessary Qualifications: Must be a current student enrolled in a College or University degree program Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or English Majors preferred Applicants should possess strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (i.e. preparing presentations) is preferred Solid understanding of Marketing and Media fields Must demonstrate UNICEF USA Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork and Service Time Frame: Spring 2019 Days per Week: Flexible Hours per Week: 14-21 hours This is an unpaid internship.
