    A Sales Representative / Business Development Manager with Liberty Packaging Texas plays a critical role in establishing the company’s future success. Liberty Packaging recently acquired multiple sites throughout Texas, which allows us to leverage the operational strengths of several different facilities in pursuing and fulfilling new business. As a SALES REPRESENTATIVE you will contribute to our growth focusing on both winning new business (70%) as well as growing existing customer relationships (30%). This full-time position reports directly to the Sales Director and would cover Amarillo and the West Texas territory.

    • Build a sales and marketing strategy to identify new qualified customers (industries such as: health & beauty, food & beverage, pharmaceutical) and drive new sales opportunities by identifying key decision makers and strategically position Liberty Packaging as the solutions provider.

    • Initiate customer relationships and close business utilizing a proven direct sales process

    • Manages a diverse/balanced pipeline and customer base. Focuses on both existing and future needs.

    • Leverage our packaging capabilities as you work closely with our talented internal teams – design, customer service, estimating, procurement, logistics – to design custom packaging solutions

    • Manage customer expectations and provide an excellent customer service experience

    • Continue to cultivate long-term customer relationships; work to service, maintain, and grow accounts.

    • Keep a watchful eye on and be willing to share trends and activities important to our business

    • Thoughtful and well-prepared participation in the annual sales budget process, company-sponsored trainings, regularly scheduled sales meetings, and regional/sub-regional functions.

    • Convert sales quotes into sales orders

    • Meet or exceed annual sales budget

    • Anticipates and identifies the requirements, expectations, and needs of customers, even in uncertain or complex situations, and reaches an optimal solution in a timely manner

    • Properly communicate announced product and price changes, availability conditions, and other pertinent information to your customers

    • Proactively address product quality or OTD issues with direct communication with both internal and external customers

    • Identify and resolve customer concerns directly or by working with others in the organization

    • Maintain all customer files accurately, including key personnel, sales history, and potential sales data

    Required Skills

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent

    • 3+ years of experience in business-to-business sales with a demonstrable track record of growing and closing sales

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and the ability to comprehend and communicate at multiple levels within and outside the organization.

     PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

    • Experience with a metric-driven environment.

    • Proficient in tracking & executing sales cycle

    • Demonstrated presentation skills to decision-makers of all levels in an organization.

    • Strong ability to understand our technical production capabilities and where the company has added or built capacity, and to translate that to targeting specific customers and market segments.

    • An exceptional level of motivation, desire, competitiveness, customer-driven focus, time management, multi-tasking, and project management skills.

    • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.

    • Proficient in all standard desktop software tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Excellent communication skills and superior resolution and decision-making skills
