This job exists to provide leadership, best practices, and administration for the Next Gen ministries BridgeBuilders special needs program at Vineyard Cincinnati. The ideal candidate for this job is a leader who is effective in recruiting and developing volunteers, building relationships with children with special needs and their families, and creating environments conducive to ministry for children with special needs. This person is a resourceful networker who stays current with the best practices in this field. This candidate also is capable of administrative tasks to allow the ministry run smoothly. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the integration of special needs children and teens (Preschool through Middle School) into Vineyard Next Gen programs, classes, small groups, and events. Develop a network of experts to support children with special needs and their families. Recruit, train, lead, motivate, disciple, and encourage volunteers across all Next Gen ministries. Recruit, train, and oversee college interns who choose BridgeBuilders as their place of interest. Develop ongoing ways for the staff and volunteers to communicate with parents. Give oversight and develop all environments for special needs children and teens. Work closely with Next Gen ministry area leads to provide a safe, age-appropriate, fun, prepared and inviting atmosphere for children and teens with special needs. Be familiar with state guidelines regarding health and safety issues for special needs children. Maintain your team lists in appropriate database tracking roles, participation, and means of communication. Keep this up to date. Track attendance. Understand the check-in system and how to manage rosters. QUALIFICATIONS Required Education: Bachelors in Special Education, Special Needs Ministry, Occupational Therapy, etc. Required Experience: Minimum 3 yrs
