Our troop leaders are the heart of our organization and are the reason that so many girls have a high-quality Girl Scout experience. They need a deserve resources to continue to create these experiences for their troops. This position is responsible for supporting troop leaders by creating and maintaining resources and support systems for all adult volunteers including comprehensive trainings, dynamic events, and exceptional communication. The volunteer support specialist will be responsible for creating new resources and lines of communication that support both new and tenured volunteers, and will serve as a front-line point of contact on a daily basis for all volunteer inquiries and needs.

Bachelors degree or commensurate experience is required. A background in volunteer management and coordination is highly preferred, as is Girl Scout experience and knowledge.

This position is part of the Mission Delivery department and is a member of the fast-paced Programs and Volunteer Support Team. A successful candidate will:

• Have excellent customer service skills including excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution skills.
• Be highly organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
