WCPC Caregiver
Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church (WCPC)
Non-Exempt Position Description
Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church is a diverse, growing congregation located on a five-acre campus in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek. We are seeking a part-time Children’s Ministries Coordinator to join a collaborative, joyful staff team committed to shared purpose, healthy relationships, and meaningful ministry.
Vision: The Lighthouse Kids’ Ministries partners with families to love, encourage, and light the way as children grow and flourish in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Position: Do you feel called to create a safe, welcoming place where children are known, loved, and invited to experience God’s presence? At WCPC, we are seeking caring and dependable individuals who delight in nurturing children (ages 4 months through 11 years) and partnering with families in their faith journey.

On Sunday mornings, our classrooms become “Kid’s Church,” where children are invited into God’s story through developmentally appropriate lessons, meaningful play, and loving care. Throughout the week, caregivers also serve during ministry programs and special events, helping create consistent, safe spaces where children can grow and belong.
We are looking for individuals who not only have experience working with young children, but who also embody a heart of patience, grace, and joy. The ideal caregiver builds trusting relationships with children and their families, offers gentle guidance, and creates an environment where every child feels seen, valued, and loved.
