Position Description 2019 Summer Intern- Project Engineer Location CA-Los Angeles Department 290-LA Construction (Core & Shell) Employment Duration Full time Apply Now Project Engineer Summer Intern We require a time commitment (10-week minimum/16-week maximum) during the Summer of 2019. Internships are available in the San Francisco Bay Area, Merced and Los Angeles, CA areas. During your internship, you will experience hands-on learning, participate in group activities and have fun with the team! Specific learning areas/responsibilities include: Maintain drawings, specifications, and logs. Assist with maintenance and updating of CPM schedules. Maintain submittal log, reviews and processes submittals. Assist with processing RFIs. Input labor cost reports and perform field quantity surveys. Quantity take-offs and assisting with estimating and procurement Field surveying and layout Quality control inspections Inventory control Monitor subcontractor field progress Assist in the coordination of testing and inspections. Other jobsite duties as appropriate and assigned. Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements: Bachelors degree, or degree in progress, in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management Certificate from an accredited university. Basic understanding of estimating and scheduling. Ability to read blueprints and specifications. Effective verbal and written communications skills.
