High rise commercial service plumber apprentice XYG Plumbing Services - San Diego, CA $30,000 - $50,000 a year Job Description: Will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal in commercial and industrial buildings. Be able to reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems. Should be able to select and inserts pre-cut pieces of copper tubing and fittings in holes. Be able to connect tubing and fittings using solder paste, or solder and torch, to form sewer, drain, and water lines. May direct workers engaged in preassembly and installation of wall systems, such as risers, air chambers, and shower assemblies. Work in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, to ensure efficient completion of any project. Providing adequate services, by a qualified plumber, will ensure that all water supply networks and waste and drainage systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety. Job Requirements: * Prior experience with Plumbing in large commercial, high-rise, & multifamily buildings * Great time management skills & ability to creatively solve problems. * Knowledge of Plumbing design, experience in preparing take-offs, knowledge of industry equipment & system operations. * Ability to Work Under Minimal Supervision * Communication Skills * Work well with others * Basic Hand Tools * As an apprentice you will be given the opportunity to train with other Journeyman plumbers.
