Flexible with FT/PT Responsibilities & Requirements Job Summary:The YMCA of Metro Chicago (The Y) is seeking to hire student interns to assist in preparing compliance matrices for its government grants and other sponsored project grants. The interns will work 35-40 hours per week, on a temporary basis. Also willing to work with a part-time intern at 15 hours per week. Scope and Responsibilities:Works with Data and Compliance Analyst to create matrices for government and other sponsored project grant requirements that include, among other things:A description of core services and purposes,Funding source, funding level, match requirements and payment processes,Reporting requirements and mechanisms,Contract deliverables,Eligibility requirements for participants, Human resource or personnel requirements, andQuality assurance indicators such as expected program outcomes, participant outcomes, and assessments and evaluationsPresent matrices to staff overseeing grant funded activities and those with grant administration responsibilities.Complete special assignments designed to ensure the Ys compliance with sponsored project grants. This may include, but is not limited to, desk audits and reviewing documentation submitted by program staff. The position will also perform other duties as assigned. Child Abuse Prevention:Supports the YMCAs commitment to child abuse prevention by:Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisorFollowing all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of childrenReporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisorCompleting all child abuse prevention training as requiredCommitment to InclusionSupports the YMCAs commitment to inclusion of all members as required by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Job responsibilities may include implementing program modifications for persons with cognitive, behavioral or physical disabilities, including but not limited to the injection of medical glucagon to members with Type 1 diabetes in emergency situations. Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:This position is open to students pursuing graduate degrees in law, not for profit administration, business administration or related fields. Successful applicants will also possess: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex information both verbally and in writing.Excellent judgment and the ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential information.The ability to review and interpret complex information.
