Category YFC Camp Description Position Purpose To provide support to the YFC Camp team by creating/updating resources, organizing/managing program needs, performing operational/admin tasks and serving on Lead Support Teams onsite at YFC Camp. Summer position : May 28th - August 16th, with posible flexibility for end-date. Create/Update Resources Cabin time books for campers/leaders Evaluations for campers/leaders Schedules Organize/Manage Program Needs Purchase program supplies, props and costumes. Manage program inventory at the office. Work with Program #1s and YFC Camp Program Specialist on special program projects. Create power points/media presentations for bands, speakers, program teams. Operations/Admin Oversee packing and shipping of all supplies to and from camp. Track expenses for keeping program budgets on pace. Compile evaluation results after camp. Lead Support Team Travel to 2-4 YFC Camp locations as assigned. Serve on the LST by offering support to Camp Directors, Program Teams, and Head Leaders. Assist in on-site logistics: registration, housing, rides, etc. Model servant leadership to campers and leaders. Requirements Prior knowledge of YFC/YFC Camp is helpful, but not necessary. Must live in the Denver Metro Area for the summer (we can assist in finding housing for you). Must have a vehicle. Must have completed at least 2 years of college or be at least 19 years old (exceptions can be made with a recommendation from a current YFC staff member). Must commit to complete the summer: May 28, 2019 August 16, 2019 (ending date can be flexible). Must have a vehicle. Spiritual Responsibilities Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. Seek Gods guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives. Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC. Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events. Additionally, YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA. As such, the following additional responsibilities of a spiritual nature will apply to this position: Perform sacramental functions such as the taking of communion and leading times of corporate prayer, confession and praise. Perform and lead religious ceremonies such as weddings, baptism and funerals when called upon by staff and other members of the YFC community. Fundraising Responsibilities Must participate in the YFC/USA Circle of Influence Fundraising Strategy (COI) to raise funds for the ministry.
