Put your Passion for Wildlife to Work Location: Collection Husbandry Science/Mammals Duration: Year round Positions available: 1 Non Union position: Starting hourly wage: $16.56 Requirements include: Provides administrative support to Office Manager and managerial staff of Animal Care departments. A minimum of one year of administrative work experience is required. Selected candidate must be capable of independent as well as group work and have excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a busy environment is essential. This position requires a great deal of flexibility as urgent animal needs arise frequently and often take precedent over current tasks. Necessary functions include: purchasing, records management, departmental communications, coordinating and scheduling of meetings. Thorough knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook are required; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is desired, but not a required. Experience in creating purchase requisitions using online platforms such as Coupa is preferred. Additional responsibilities: attend departmental meetings, take and publish meeting minutes, maintain office supplies. Available work days are Monday Friday, 24 hours per week, some flexibility in scheduling may be possible. One essential function for this position is the ability to drive a SDZ Global vehicle. A good driving record and a valid driver license is required. Final candidates may be tested on computer proficiency.
