  • Responsibilities

    The sales enablement intern will assist in managing the everyday operation of the UPS sales enablement application (Scout). This includes but is not limited to: effectively communicating with the system’s library owners, gatekeepers, content owners and consumers; identifying and reporting system issues; designing, developing and deploying new system functionality; working with stakeholders to manage and prioritize redesign projects; tailoring the proposal content to empower the sales team in creating customized value-focused proposals and presentations. The sales enablement team is a part of the UPS Global Sales Strategy and Sales Operations department.

    Other Duties:

    • Manage content development
    • Assist with the development of new documents and content (e.g., product overviews, industry overviews, etc.) in Scout to provide users with the information needed for responding to customer requests
    • Monitor content expiration dates, validations and changes, and system updates to ensure data content is current
    • Manage the content development and validation process to ensure information stored in the tool is compliant and legally approved
    • Collaborate with the sales enablement team to understand and evaluate the capabilities and gaps in Scout
    • Prepare capstone presentation and deliver to senior sales leadership to demonstrate presentation and communication skills
    • Other duties as needed

    Preferred Competencies:

    • Demonstrates leadership attributes within classroom, projects, volunteering
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
    • Ability to multitask and work with cross functional teams

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Rising junior or senior preferred
    • Actively enrolled in a degreed college program in the area of Business Management, Communications, Sales, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Logistics, or Marketing is preferred
    • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) SharePoint
    • Able to work 35-40 hours per week
    • Experience with AP Style guidelines
