    UPS Corporate Procurement is seeking qualified undergraduate or graduate students for our 2020 summer internship program. The internship program is designed to immerse interns in the corporate culture and expose them to real-life, hands-on business interactions with management. Interns participate in business meetings and deliver presentations to senior management also.     RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Learns and develops sophisticated database techniques to harvest, analyze, and present critical information to support UPS’s business needs
    • Learns and uses a broad array of technology and business analysis methods in advanced analytics, model development, UPS enterprise-level data and information repositories, and intranet reporting
    • Learns and understands multiple functional responsibilities and processes
    • Seeks opportunities to use broad knowledge of Finance, Accounting and general Business principles throughout internship

  • Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Rising college junior or senior, or recent graduate within the last 24 months
    • Available to work 30-40 hours per week
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) or equivalent software 
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and performance-driven individual 
    • Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines
    • Data analytics experience 
    • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Finance, Computer Science, and Management Information Systems or Supply Chain - Preferred

    Founded on a $100 loan in 1907, 2 teenage boys opened up a messenger service in a 6 by 17 foot office located just below the sidewalk on Second Avenue and Main Street in Seattle, WA. Messengers ran errands, carried notes, hand baggage, and delivered trays of food for customers. They also delivered packages, traveling by streetcars and bicycles for longer trips, and later using motorcycles.
