  • Responsibilities

    Provide technical assistance regarding Aircraft Maintenance for all UPS maintenance and non-maintenance gateways.  Coordinate with Line Maintenance, Major Maintenance, Engineering and Manufacturing Representatives, etc. as required concerning aircraft maintenance issues.  Monitor and Control Out-of-Service Aircraft and maintain communication with Line Maintenance, Contingency, Major Maintenance, Engineering, Tech Support, AMDC, and Tooling as required regarding fleet status.  Administer all aircraft deferred items and ensure compliance with MEL, CDL and DMI’s.  Determine the suitability of aircraft for ETOPS operations.  Provide technical assistance thru AHM and controlling corrective actions for Cat 2/3 Aircraft as necessary to maintain the highest possible operating Category of UPS Aircraft.  Issue authorization for Ferry Flights, Test Flights, and One Time RII’s in accordance with the FAA Regulations and company procedures.  Perform all shift duties including paperwork and turnover. 

     

    An ideal candidate will possess the following: 

    •       A current valid Airframe and Powerplant License
    •       Minimum of three (3) years heavy jet experience on commercial aircraft or Transport Category Aircraft.
    •       Ability to troubleshoot complex aircraft systems and develop corrective action plans
    •       A minimum of one (1) year experience working on the job with Microsoft Windows based desktop computer software applications
