    WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

    Office environment located at the Air Group Building. There is daily interaction with other Finance and Accounting departments, as well as,  Aircraft Maintenance, Engineering and Legal.

    JOB SUMMARY: 

    Maintenance Finance Co-Op is responsible for reviewing and updating cash flows for previously approved Maintenance & Engineering District reliability projects. This position also assists with financial analysis of projects, tracking of approved projects and forecasting future cash flows. This position also performs routine duties, as well as, adhoc duties for comparison of project options and conducting audits on actual project expenditures.

    JOB DESCRIPTION: 

    Maintenance Finance Co-Op will be involved with various financial analysis and projects, internal audits, and ad hoc requests. Excellent communication skills will be needed as an important part of the job is interaction with other groups when working on various special projects. Primary duties include financial analysis of projects, tracking of approved projects, forecasting future cash flows, and other adhoc reports/analysis. This position performs routine duties, as well as, adhoc duties for comparison of project options, preparing vendor pressbooks for upper management and conducting audits of actual project expenditures.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS: 

    Must be actively pursuing a business degree with at least 2 years completed, preferably in Finance or Accounting.  Need to be a self-starter and motivated to produce excellent results.  Strong problem solving ability and critical thinking required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Access). Looking for a candidate with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills. Must have strong communication skills due to the frequent communication with other groups.

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS: 

    Prefer a candidate with strong Microsoft Office skills, and knowledge of UPS operations including a general understanding of Aircraft maintenance.  Strong oral and written communication skills for direct communications with vendors.

    INTERNPERSONAL SKILLS: 

    Able to work in a team-based environment with minimal supervision.  Must be able to work under tight deadlines and multi-task, possess a positive attitude, excellent analytical skills, adapts well to change. Must be able to build strategic relationships with internal customers.  Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
