Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). As an App Developer, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

About this role:

The Applications Developer (SAP Security) performs duties and tasks to support full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication and to support the achievement of objectives. He/She provides development, maintenance, and support for applications.

The candidate will have general knowledge related to application security policies, security implementation, and access control for the SAP landscape. Specific activities will include the management of authorization objects, transaction codes, single and composite roles and user administration. Knowledge of creating and editing users in Business Objects (BOBJ).

Responsibilities and Duties:

• User Access Administration (user creation, deletion, modification)
• Role design and development
• Troubleshooting authorization failures
• Creation of User Groups
• Authorization checks using transaction SU24 and maintenance of check indicators for Transaction codes
• Generating reports by using SUIM, SQVI and SM20
• Perform support of the existing SAP Security environment
• Perform security audits for usage of privileged access
• Improve documentation of user access administration procedures
• Analyze security problems and provide clear recommendations for remediation

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years’ SAP security implementation and support experience
• 2 years’ experience supporting Business Objects
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) – Intermediate
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of SAP Security within ECC 6.0, BI 7.3, PI 7.4, and BOBJ 4.1
• Knowledge of SAP security with both JAVA and ABAP
• Knowledge of SAP security on Windows and SQL Server on Virtualized environment(Cloud) SQL – Intermediate
