About this role:

This candidate will be a member of the UPS WorldShip Development team. WorldShip is a shipping application that allows customers to prepare, label, ship, track, and manage their UPS shipping needs. Responsibilities include review and analyzes of business and functional requirements. He/She will also participate in project architecture and technical design, perform technical analysis, implementation, debugging and maintenance of program modules. The successful Co-op will be versed in C#, Java and application development life cycle methodologies for UPS mission-critical applications. The candidate will work with other team members to utilize UPS processes and requirements that drive the analysis, design and coding for Microsoft Windows platforms.

Must be able to work 15 - 20 hours per week while school is in session. Potentially work 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Beginner-level proficiency with C# .NET, Java and application development life cycle methodologies.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment on project tasks, excellent communication (verbal and written), time management, team building and technical skills are required

Preferred Qualifications:

• The desired Co-Op will be currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline, or has graduated from a degreed college/university program within that last 24 months with a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline.
