  • Responsibilities

    Are you a current junior or senior, or recent graduate within the last 24 months, pursuing a degree in Instructional Design or related field? If so, we want to hear from you! UPS Global Business Services (GBS) is looking for a dynamic Instructional Design intern who is eager to obtain real-world, hands-on business experience in our Training Development department.

    GBS Training Development creates and supports training materials for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) in contact centers across the globe. Based on needs of our Customer Service Centers, the Instructional Design intern provides required revisions, redesigns, and reorganization of cirricula to support the progression of CSRs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Revises and reorganizes training curricula content
    • Merges module content
    • Creates new assessments
    • Develops and recreates e-Learning modules
    • Realigns modules, including soft skill modules
    • Purges redundant content
  • Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Experience with Captivate 9 and data analysis
    • Ability to independently learn and perform complex, detailed processes 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Ability to work independently and meet firm deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills  
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Professional appearance and image

    Founded on a $100 loan in 1907, 2 teenage boys opened up a messenger service in a 6 by 17 foot office located just below the sidewalk on Second Avenue and Main Street in Seattle, WA. Messengers ran errands, carried notes, hand baggage, and delivered trays of food for customers.
