JOB SUMMARY
Assist with 1DA orientations and timecard inputting for new hire employees Data entry of rosters for the Air District (GEMs). Communicting with Workforce Planning on new employees, paperwork related to orientations (building GTWOR assisgnments, providing training information) and benefit questions. Taking care of employee questions via telephone, e-mail or walk-ins. Will assist with orientation several nights a week. Could consist of speaking to as many as 50 employees for an hour about benefits at UPS. Will be responsible for keying submitted training rosters for the Air District.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Organize and handle all paperwork associated with orientation; including payroll, new hire benefits, HR/education questions. Will assist in scheduling conference rooms and assemble orientation packets. Reviewing payroll for new employees in GTWOR weekly, run queries and support with other training or workshop events when needed. Might help provide coverage when administrative co-workers need assistance or are on vacation, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Should be able to use multi-line phone, be detailed oriented, and able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely fashion. Must complete skills assessment to determine knowledge level on Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word and take a typing assessment to determine speed before close date and time.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Knowledge of and experience with eHR, GEMs, GTWOR, and PITs are a big plus. Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software packages is a plus. Previous experience in a roll within UPS Human Resources is a big plus. Looking for a candidate who can multi-task and be flexible. Must have the ability to handle confidential information. Must be prepared to interact with employees who present questions or issues needing assistance.
Interpersonal Skills Must possess good people skills to handle potential conflicts. Must be team oriented, mature and above all, must be able to maintain a positive attitude.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office environment located on the 2nd floor of WFF-UPSTEC, accessible via stairs or elevator. This office is located outside the Air Park fence line and requires a walk in from the parking lot of approximately 3-5 minutes. Concrete floor and large open work station which is shared in close proximity with two other administrative employees. Dress is business casual. SKILLS ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
