    JOB SUMMARY

    The Damage Reduction Group Administrative Assistant addresses claims that impact UPS and its customers.  He/She assist the Area Security Manager, The District Damage Coordinator, and the District Business Development Account Managers by providing daily, weekly, and monthly claim reports and monitoring claim related information.  They will also assist the larger Security group as needed to pull claim reports, analysis claim data and delivery information. Will also be generating basic Security case files and reports utilizing the Security Incident Reporting System.

    JOB DUTIES

    ASSISTS THE SECURITY MANAGER/SUPERVISOR:

    • Runs shipper claim history and creates shipper files for MHN shipper accounts - daily.
    • Analyzes claim history on MHN shipper accounts - daily.
    • Analyzes fraud and narcotics addresses.
    • Working with centers on processing fraudulent pickups.
    • Tracking special accounts that have Security Interest.
    • Occasional customer phone calls to research lost or damaged packages.

    ASSISTS THE PACKAGE CARE COORDINATOR:

    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly claim reports.
    • Runs shipper claim history and creates shipper files for any accounts that require a DDC visit - daily.
    • Monthly review of Damage Claim Exception accounts.  Informs DDC of any expiring DCE’s.
    • Inputs new DCE as requested by the DDC and Security Manager.
    • Monthly and quarterly Claim runs for select CPU and Large shipper accounts.
    • Daily and As Needed Overgoods Searches utilizing the Overgoods database.
    • Weekly ARES audits.
    • Assists in On Site Inspection Workbasket.
    • Helps the DDC respond to and manage incoming ECM’s.
    • Daily Overgoods Room monitoring to assist in OG searches.

    ASSISTS THE BD ACCOUNT MANAGERS:

    • Runs shipper claim history and creates shipper files that the Account Manager uses during shipper visits -daily.
    • Answer questions relating to Loss or Damage claims.
    • Provides claims and packaging analysis to the Account Managers - daily.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

    • Experience in customer service or closely related environment. 
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail.
    • Strong oral/written communcations, customer service, and time management skills.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • H.S. Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
