As a UPS Systems Programmer, your skills will be put to the test working with large-scale automation solutions.

    ABOUT THIS ROLE:

    The SYSTEMS PROGRAMMING ANALYST contributes to the implementation, configuration, and support of applications running on the Linux RHEL Operating Systems as well as the configuration of ESX Hosts in the VMWare environment.   

    The SYSTEMS PROGRAMMING ANALYST works on Appian requests entered by Applications to configure RHEL OS, cluster configurations, software configuration/updates, RPM/SSH key installs mount point additions and updates as well as pseudo-access and patching of Linux OS and ESX VMware.  Assists with implementation, maintenance, and support of third-party infrastructures and associated services to meet business requirements. Assists with the implementation and testing of the business continuity plan to identify UPS’s exposure to internal and external threats and to provide effective prevention and recovery. Assists with the development, implementation, and support of data back-up and recovery solutions to prevent data loss and to maximize the system.  .

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Advanced experience with Linux System Administration
    • Intermediate knowledge of Linux Network Administration, Project Management, Initiative, Team Player, Time Management & Prioritization, Microsoft Excel 
    • Knowledge with MQ,  Object Oriented Analysis and Linux OS Security

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
