  • Responsibilities

    UPS Supply Chain Solutions is currently seeking a Trade Management Analyst (TMA) I to impact the business by mastering import/export regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a Customs Broker License or be currently pursuing a license from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This position offers on the job training in the areas of valuation/reconciliation, import/export classification, NAFTA origin verification projects and other FTA eligibility programs, and various customer specific compliance projects.

    The TMA I is responsible for coordinating and carrying out all tasks necessary to develop, maintain and maximize established Valuation/Reconciliation functions. The TMA I assists in employee training regarding accounts and projects.  They're responsible for providing insight, guidance and other supportive services necessary for Valuation/Reconciliation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Assists with process management
    • Participates in calls with clients for root cause analysis and process improvements
    • Assists with work load management and distribution
    • Completes importation review for assigned business units
    • Analyzes disbursement data, purchasing records, invoices and shipping documents and completing reconciliation by calculating value adjustments
    • Manages and organizes product databases and classification information in Excel and Access
    • Coordinates daily activities with TMS team members and project supervisor
    • Communicates proactively with customers including educating customers on regulatory procedures
  • Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Strong knowledge of US Customs and Border Protection Regulations
    • Must have experience demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail
    • Excellent analytical, verbal/written communication, customer service, and time management skills
    • Previous experience with valuation and/or reconciliation - Preferred
    • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred
    • International Trade, Logistics or Freight Forwarding experience - Preferred
    • Proficient foreign language skills - Preferred
