JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Engineering Supervisor provides support and enhancements to existing and new operations systems to ensure projects are aligned with the corporate strategy. He/She gathers business requirements, initiates feasibility studies, and maintains data for the project's life cycle. This position serves as a liaison between stakeholders, software developers, and end users. The Industrial Engineering Supervisor will need to ride with a UPS delivery driver for 8-10 hours a day for the purpose of training, implementation of software and/or hardware enhancements. He/She also may need to work flexible shift hours (e.g., 12 midnight to 10 am or 10 am to 12 midnight, etc.)
The Industrial Engineering Supervisor creates and develops functional design requirements (e.g.; user acceptance test (UAT) scripts, UAT lab testing for new and existing systems). He/She interviews UPS region and district staff to define how the application will perform. This position will update user manuals to ensure functionality data is current. The Industrial Engineering Supervisor will conduct application training to provide end users and management with information on the systems' functionality.
