ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The SR. PENTEST ANALYST performs a broad range of complex technical and professional work functions to identify, investigate, analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities. In this role, you will gather and assemble vulnerability data, identifiy remediation plans and report progress to management. You will assist in supporting other InfoSec business solutions including, but not limited to, Firewall/Remote access review, Compliance reporting and Application Penetration testing.

The SR. PENTEST ANALYST with act as a first-level subject matter expert in the domains of vulnerability assessment and remediation. You will frequently identify opportunities to improve existing processes, proactively identify gaps in vulnerability assessment coverage, and take action to close those gaps.  You will be responsible to supervise vendor managed vulnerability assessment service providers, identify opportunities for improvement in vendor supplied and domestic vulnerability assessment toolsets. You will also monitor Information Security industry standards to recommend improvements to management, respond and assess security events, assist in the day to day operation of vulnerability assessment using current enterprise technologies, and conduct analysis as directed by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experienced in the following security tools; Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, Burp Suite Pro, Zed Attack Proxy (ZAP), Core Impact, etc
• Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis
• Familiar with all phases of a penetration test
• Intermediate knowledge and experience in various application threat vectors
• Strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills including ability to analyze a problem/project quickly and accurately
• Intermediate knowledge of data security practices, procedures and standards
• Strong communication skills including technical, group and interpersonal communication
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability to work well with other teams to achieve required results
• Organized, methodical, attention to detail and ability to meet and exceed tight deadlines
• Ability to recognize opportunity for process improvement and suggest action
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise discretion
• Experience with Infrastructure-focused engagements: Intermediate TCP/IP networking knowledge (including networking architecture, device configuration, and operational practices)
• Experience with Application-focused engagements: Intermediate software development knowledge (including programming languages, application architecture, and development processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
