By combining financial services with all other UPS capabilities, UPS Capital creates a key link in the UPS global commerce synchronization strategy.

    UPS Capital Legal Department is seeking an Intern to work independently or on small teams to develop and execute project management plans for basic legal projects of short duration. The Legal Intern will work with business partners across multiple functions. This position is responsible for the collection, analysis and documentation of legal and business requirements.     RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Assists in research and supports management staff
    • Develops process improvement and layout changes to increase visibility and reporting
    • Monitors and develops project schedules to ensure adherence to deadlines   
    • Interacts with cross-functional teams to gather documentation of legal and business requirements
    • Identifies exceptions, formulates recommendations, and implements process improvements
    • Provides steady flow of information to management, customers and internal personnel
    • Tracks and monitors legislative activity on bills that may affect UPS
    • Provides general administrative support as needed

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Rising college junior or senior, or recent graduate within the last 24 months, pursuing a degree in Business or Communications
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
    • Demonstrates knowledge in utilizing the internet for research
    • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively multi-task
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Possesses excellent time management skills while meeting deadlines
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
