PROTEIN MASS SPECTROMETRY INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The Protein Mass Spectrometry Intern will work as part of a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team in an integrated research laboratory .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Conduct laboratory studies to investigate drug induced target protein inactivation by native mass spectrometry and compare data
Support sample preparation and purification for high resolution LCMS analysis
Test and optimize micro flow LC and compare with analytical setup for peptide quantitation
Test different internal standards to improve the accuracy of in vitro stability assays
Interact with cross-functional teams to establish productive collaborations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or other related field
Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
Must have strong communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Expected graduation date between August 2023 - December 2025
Good understanding of protein mass spectrometry
Hands-on experience of LC-MS analysis on qTOF mass spectrometers
Hands-on experience of protein affinity purification
Exposure to cell biology of signaling and familiar with bioinformatics tools
Knowledge in protein structure and function
