AESTHETICS RESEARCH INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.

The Intern will serve as a lab assistant to aid Aesthetics Research in drug discovery for hair growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide support for in vivo mouse studies and tissue collection

• Learn to perform histology tasks related to specimen processing, sectioning, immunostaining, microscopy and image analysis.

• Practice the proficient and safe use of all equipment necessary for the completion of all duties and responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Animal Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pathology, Molecular Biology, Immunology or related field.

• Must be enrolled in university during the internship period.

• Willing to handle animals and perform tissue collection.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• In vivo experience working with mouse models.

• Histology experience such as tissue embedding, sectioning and microscopy.
