DISCOVERY NEUROSCIENCE, ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE PATHOLOGY INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Execute experiments while working closely with drug discovery scientists to discover therapeutic targets/biomarkers for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease

• Learn imaging techniques and downstream image processing and analyses

• Handle human and mouse brain tissues

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science discipline or related field

• Must be enrolled in university during the internship period

• Strong interest in Neuroscience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with basic immunohistochemistry

• Microscopy skills

• Background in basic statistics

• Quantitative mindset and computer programming experience
