INTERNAL MANUFACTURING AND ENGINEERING OVERVIEW

Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.

Our Internal Manufacturing and Engineering group in Worcester, MA has an opening for a motivated intern who is dedicated to the manufacture of biologics. We are the development and launch center for our AbbVie biologics pipeline as well as a strong development and commercial manufacturing center of excellence for third party clients. The intern will learn manufacturing support, data analysis and presentation.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Testing equipment

• Troubleshooting equipment

• Change management documentation

• Validation

• Process flow mapping

• Data visualization / presentation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemistry, Biology

• Must be enrolled in university during the internship period

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exposure to cell culture or purification

• Familiarity with data analysis, data presentation and statistical software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
