BIOSTATISTICS INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.

As part of the Statistical Sciences and Analytics department within the AbbVie Data and Statistical Sciences (DSS) organization, the Biostatistics Intern will work on projects related to oncology clinical trials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Conduct literature reviews

• Set up simulation scenarios and conduct simulations independently

• Present project to the Statistical Science and Analytics department

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field

• Must be enrolled in university during the internship period

• Familiar with SAS/R

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exposure to statistical methods in survival analysis

• Exposure to competing risk methodology in survival analysis

• Expected graduation date between May 2024 and December 2025
