    CLINICAL TRIAL PATIENT SAFETY INTERN OVERVIEW

    Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.

    The Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety (PPS) organization works collaboratively and strategically with colleagues across the product lifecycle to identify, evaluate, understand, and communicate the safety profile of AbbVie products to protect patients worldwide.

    The Medical Aesthetics & Device Safety, Clinical Trial Safety Insights department is a highly diverse team that plays a critical role in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing high-priority analytical strategies, clinical oversight, and initiatives. This group is a high-profile high-impact team that works with PPS functions on a range of product initiatives. As a member of the team, you are at the forefront of working with leaders to identify critical priorities and drive high-value projects that make an impact on the safety of our patients.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    The Clinical Trial Patient Safety group plays a critical role in the collection and interpretation of patient data in the safety process. The team is a high-profile high-impact team that works on a range of critical initiatives maintaining a high level of process efficiency and quality of information. As a member of the team, you are at the forefront of working with leaders to identify critical priorities and drive high-value projects that make an impact on business performance.

    Intern will support team by:

    • Assisting with ongoing continuous improvement projects spanning across departmental needs

    • Providing support for data analysis and review at a product level

    • Gaining a business understanding of pharmacovigilance and cross-functional interactions/impacts

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a graduate-level degree (e.g., Ph.D., Masters) in Epidemiology, Public Health (MPH), Pharmacy (PharmD), Data Analytics, or other related field

    • Expected graduation date between August 2023-June 2026
