ONCOLOGY DISCOVERY INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The Oncology Discovery department is responsible for the discovery and development of the next generation treatments to address unmet medical need for cancer patients. The successful candidate will be part of the Tumor Targeting group dedicated to the discovery and validation of novel cancer targets and the development of novel biologics and/or antibody-drug conjugates.

As part of the Oncology Discovery, Tumor Targeting Team the Intern will work in a laboratory setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Plan, design and execute experiments to support Oncology Discovery research including target identification/validation or characterization of drug candidates for early-stage discovery pipeline

• Contribute to the development of new methodology or workflow to improve existing Oncology Discovery capabilities

• Analyze experimental data and present findings in group or project team meeting

• Attend cross-functional project team meeting and have an opportunity to interact with individuals with various scientific expertise including in vivo pharmacology, chemistry, DMPK or bioinformatics group

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology or other related field

• Must be enrolled in university during the internship period

• Must possess basic knowledge of cell biology, biochemistry, and immunology

• Prior laboratory research experience in biology is strongly preferred

• The intern should be able to effectively interact with team members and possess strong written or verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exposure to common laboratory methods such as pipetting, tissue culture, flow cytometry, western blot, and ELISA
