PRECISION MEDICINE PATHOLOGY HISTOLOGY INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The Precision Medicine Pathology Histology team is looking for an intern who is interested in learning about histology and pathology in a pharmaceutical research setting. The intern will help authenticate our internal FFPE cell line bank. The intern will have an opportunity to learn microtomy, cell culture, RNA bench skills, communication, and project management. Opportunities to participate in scientific meetings and be exposed to and learn about current research histology and pathology techniques will also be available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Train on and operate automated microtome to cut FFPE cell pellet blocks

• End to end project management of historical sample data and procured data for FFPE cell pellet specimen bank

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pathology, Molecular Biology, Immunology or related field

• Must be enrolled in university during the internship period

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exposure to curriculum in the areas of cell culture, histology, pathology and anatomy
