    REGULATORY PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

    Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.

    The Regulatory Portfolio Management (RPM) group is comprised of project management professionals with a wide scientific background within Regulatory Affairs. The team is responsible for successfully delivering project management capabilities for cross-functional teams of low to high complexity within and across the Regulatory Affairs organization. Individuals of the team combine knowledge of scientific, regulatory, and business processes to properly drive the execution of AbbVie’s regulatory strategies. Responsibilities include developing and managing the schedules, activities, and deliverables for the Global Regulatory Product Teams (GRPTs), interacting with key stakeholders, and leading process improvement efforts to help achieve business performance goals for regulatory compliance and productivity.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Execute process improvement initiatives of low to medium complexity from concept to implementation.

    • Coordinate and drive deliverable preparation, develop, and maintain process models using standard methods and tools, manage communication, metrics and reporting-related processes for projects assigned.

    • Project management to include process mapping, revising processes for efficiency and developing training materials and communications for implementation of the new processes. Collaborating with teams comprised of regulatory professionals and functional partners including clinical, commercial, safety, etc. Providing the opportunity for an individual to learn the product development lifecycle and the responsibilities of the Regulatory function during the product lifecycle.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Math, Engineering, Business Management, Medical Field or related field

    • Must be enrolled in university during the internship period

    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously

    • Process mapping experience
