SAFETY OPERATIONS PRODUCT LEADERSHIP (SOPROL) INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety (PPS) organization works collaboratively and strategically with colleagues across the product lifecycle to identify, evaluate, understand, and communicate the safety profile of AbbVie products to protect patients worldwide.
The Safety Operations Product Leadership team plays a critical role in delivering Safety Operations scientific input and expertise for assigned AbbVie assets in development or on market. The team is a high-profile, high-impact team that drives high-quality Safety Operations deliverables and decisions through strong product knowledge, understanding of the product strategy, pharmacovigilance, and clinical development expertise, and interpretation of current global regulatory requirements.
As a member of the SOPROL team, will work with leaders to support SOPROL-related initiatives. These include activities and deliverables related to assigned assets, critical priorities, and high-value projects that make an impact on business performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Assist with communication, training development, and organizing project data
Review and compile process documents
Collaborate with SOPROL leaders, PPS user community and Business Technology Solutions, as applicable
Drive designated and business focused projects to research by proposing ideas and solutions
Present key findings and insights
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or related field
Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and other relevant aspects of business
Able to manage tasks with minimal supervision
Highly organized and able to schedule meetings
Microsoft Office skills (at minimum, intermediate level)
Expected graduation date between August 2023 - July 2025
