SAFETY SCIENCE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety (PPS) organization works collaboratively and strategically with colleagues across the product lifecycle to identify, evaluate, understand, and communicate the safety profile of AbbVie products to protect patients worldwide.
The Product Safety Team (PST) is a high-profile and high-impact multidisciplinary team of experts who work in close collaboration across functions to provide product data analysis, signal monitoring and product insights so that together as a team, the Product Safety Team can implement appropriate actions to ensure patient safety. The PST is responsible for all safety aspects of a product across the product lifecycle.
The Safety Science Program Management (SSPM) Intern will support projects and work within the scope of the PST. Strong discretionary, organizational, collaborative and communication skills are required as the Intern will be working in a highly visible area with potentially sensitive information. The portfolio of work could be inclusive of both general projects and asset-specific support
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Process improvement
Audit/inspection readiness
PST roster updates/maintenance
Review and update guidelines
NDA (new drug application) / BLA (biologic application) submission planning
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, PhD or PharmD in Medical Science, Healthcare or related field
Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Project Management experience
Expected graduation date between August 2023 - July 2025
