Precision Medicine Pathology Intern Overview
This internship opportunity is in the Pathology group within the Precision Medicine department. Precision Medicine plays a key role in the development of tissue-based assays for the identification and validation of targets that could be utilized for patient selection in clinical trials. Under supervision of a Director, the intern will primarily support tissue-based assay development using Immunohistochemistry and in-situ hybridization technology for the identification and validation of relevant proteins within the tumors of patients.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support in the development of tissue-based assays that could eventually serve as Robust Prototype Assays for patient selection into clinical trials.
• Collaborate with the Digital Pathology Team to develop Image Analysis Algorithms to better understand the distribution pattern of the target within tumors of patients.
• Generate data packages that will be presented at a team meeting towards the end of the internship.
Minimum Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or other related field.
• Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship.
• Expected graduation date between December 2024 - July 2025.

• The salary range is: (minimum: $47,242 to maximum: $71,592.56 )
