JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for design, development and maintenance of applications. Responsible to maintain business processes strategies and technology solutions in agreement with manufacturing and quality areas. Responsible of the Manufacturing Execution Systems related applications specifically the development of MES recipes and workflows. Accountable and responsible for the technical and operational excellence of all site applications, including business and manufacturing. The position will lead technically all the Applications or MES Developers. Will be responsible for the professional development of the resources under his/her supervision. The position is the technical liaison to the MES Global team. Will ensure MES recipes alignment to the Global MES Strategy and Standards. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Master degree preferable.
Five (5) years of experience in IT technical positions with three (3) years’ experience on project management responsibilities.
Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry systems and processes.
Knowledge of Client Server environment, Software Development, Data communications equipment: Routers, Switches, LAN/WAN, Satellite DC and general knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes (e.g. Packaging, Tablet Press, etc.)
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP System.
Proven skills in project management, systems development and implementation of manufacturing and quality related systems.
Ability to impact and influence people/areas with and outstanding company to deliver superior business results.
Thorough knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulation is a must.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and reading) in Spanish and English at all levels.
Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle methodology a must.
Proven skills in project management and validation of manufacturing and quality related systems.
Willing to work irregular hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays, when necessary.
Able to work under pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Controlled office environment
Frequent use of a keyboard and writing
Possibility of minimal or minor exposure to chemical substances due to visit to manufacturing/exposure areas; or in emergency situations
Practically no exposure of disagreeable conditions
Special gowning as defined and required in the Manufacturing and required areas
Minimum personal protective equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat) required
No significant travel required to participate in the design, planning implementation, follow up of project, training and Local/Corporate System initiatives.
Average absence from home of 1 to 2 nights per month, when required.
