    Position Summary

    A vital activity of any large organization is partnering with external service providers. The mission of Partner Data Delivery is to work on behalf of Research and Early Develop to enable partnering with providers of scientific services and data. The BPM Analyst Intern will work to identify and document the existing landscape of business processes currently in place and related to the working with external service providers. If sufficient progress is achieved, the intern will work with Process Architecture Services to implement executable versions of certain captured process models.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in meetings and other activities to gain a thorough understanding of IT business processes.
    • Interview key staff to further explore and internalize details of business processes in IT.
    • Train and develop expertise in Business Process Modeling and BMPN.
    • Map business processes and build models capturing current state.
    • Identify potential bottlenecks in current processes.
    • Present models and improvement proposals.
    • Refine processes and update models.
    • Work with technical staff to implement executable versions of captured models (time permitting).
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related.
    • Interest in business and organizational processes.
    • Good analytical skills and ability to interview technical staff.
    • Proficient computer skills, including use of productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Detailed-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work on a team to accomplish tasks and receive feedback
