Key Responsibilities

Digital innovation and Information Technology are central to our vision of transforming patients’ lives through science. To accelerate our ability to serve patients around the world, we must unleash the power of technology.  We are seeking passionate individuals in all areas of IT engineering and development, including but not limited to:

• Tech Development Configuration 

• Tech Design & Architecture 

• UI/UX Development

• Software/Application Development

We are also hosting a live DigITal Showcase event in March for which you may be invited to speak with our business leaders and interview for specific roles and opportunities.

The selected candidate’s responsibilities may include:

• Sets standards for code/system/data designs and test requirements, and actively promotes guidance, add significant, incremental pieces to architectures related to their scope.

• Conduct technical planning has shown to reduce failure scenarios and identify edge cases early on.

• Can design and build or guide the design and building of an effective code/system architecture within a deep technical area or team.

• You know what tools are available and useful for your domain. Understands how they work, and the sorts of situations and problems for which they're useful.

• Debugs/troubleshoots issues around their own systems that may span across several systems or layers of systems.

• Consistently and effectively generates next steps to move debugging forward.

• Scopes and/or guides the scoping of large projects that involves a deep technical area or team.

• Understands dependencies around their system or product and how they affect project timelines

• Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback

• Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups

• Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces

• Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components, and informational components

• Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)

• Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

• Collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and management teams

• Incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design to enhance user experience

Desired Candidate Characteristics

• Have a strong commitment to a career in technology with a passion for healthcare 

• Ability to understand the needs of the business and commitment to deliver the best user experience and adoption 

• Able to collaborate across multiple teams  

• Demonstrated leadership experience

• Excellent communication skills 

• Innovative and inquisitive nature to ask questions, offer bold ideas and challenge the status quo 

• Agility to learn new tools and processes

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related discipline or 4-6+ years of previous technical experience.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate within the context of the intended audience, whether that be senior executives or highly technical engineering resources.

• Hands-on experience securing operating systems (Microsoft, Linux, macOS, etc.)

• Technical experience programming using C/C++/Python etc., supporting, developing, and implementing applications.

• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (Inheritance, Polymorphism)

• Understanding of Data Structures

• Knowledge and understanding of Algorithms

• Web Programming & Web Design Principles
