    Job Summary

    This position will be responsible for support of the Talent Acquisition & Recruitment function within HR to include: recruitment, talent management, training and development, and safety initiatives to increase the effectiveness of the HR Team.

    Role Specific Responsibilities

    • Assist with the recruitment process, which may include sourcing and review of resumes to identify qualified candidates, conduct pre-screening phone interviews, schedule and prepare documentation for on-site interviews, and development of metrics
    • Assist with the requisition development and approval process, which may include development of job descriptions, identification of appropriate job boards for the posting of open positions
    • Interpret, assist and advise hiring managers on routine requisition and recruitment processes and policies
    • Assist with new hire paperwork and on-boarding activities
    • Create and update spreadsheets in support of assigned projects
    • Attend local career fairs or other recruiting events as needed
    • Participate in local events, seminars, and training with the HR team
    • Maintain various HR files, spreadsheets, and personnel documentation
    • Enter survey data from monthly orientation sessions; analyze and track results to report to HR leaders periodically
    • Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in the handling of confidential information
    • This role may be involved in a variety of activities supporting the human resources function within Chattanooga CHC including, but not limited to: data entry and analysis, record keeping, team building, and process improvement initiatives

  • Qualifications

    Education:

    • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Human Resources, Business Administration, or I-O Psychology at an accredited university.

    Experience:

    • Previous experience in the HR field is preferred.

    Professional Skills:

    • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with managers, supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of the company.
    • This position requires maintaining confidentiality with sensitive human resource information to include PHI, HIPAA classified information.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting set deadlines.
    • Ability to complete tasks both in a team environment and independently.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be inherently organized, analytical, have a keen attention detail and the ability to prioritize work.

    Role Specific Competencies:

    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • This position requires extensive use of computer equipment.
    • Must have a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
    • Basic understanding of professional, ethical and legal standards involved in HR.
